EURAXESS: Brunch for Expat Women in Czech Science
Dear women in science,
We’d love to invite you to a special brunch for female researchers who live and work in science in the Czech Republic.
Come and hear the inspiring story of Phuong Ngoc Pham, researcher at BIOCEV in Prague, and her journey through Czech science. We’ll also have plenty of time to share our own experiences — what we enjoy about working and living in the Czech Republic, as well as the things that challenge or concern us.
Our aim is to create a relaxed, open, and safe space where we can talk honestly, listen to one another, and hopefully discover that some of the things we’re navigating are more widely shared than we might think.
We’ll meet on Friday, 11 September, at Schebek Palace (Politických vězňů 936/7, 110 00 Prague – New Town). Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and the programme starts at 10:00 a.m. Registration is required.
After the talk, we’ll continue with an informal discussion over a delicious brunch — a chance to exchange ideas, meet other women working in science in the Czech Republic, and simply spend some time together.
We believe there’s a lot of strength in sharing our experiences. We hope you’ll leave with a sense of connection and belonging — and perhaps a few new friendships, contacts, and ideas along the way.
We’d be very happy to see you there!
