Date of the beginning: September – October 2022

 

Length of working visit: 3 – 6 months, obligatory employment relationship with the IEM for the duration of the mobility.

Financial support: Gross salary CZK 65,000 per month

 

Specialization: Cellular and molecular biology

 

Researcher opportunity in cell biology  

The researcher will participate in the international and local projects using liquid biopsy methods, processing several types of biological material (blood, stool, urine, mucosa, tumour tissue) andshould have skill for many other modern methods as qPCR, new generation sequencing atc. Bioinformatic education is welcome. We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with experience with cell culture methods andwide range of molecular biology methods. 

The candidate should have excellent profile, knowledge from cell biology and molecular biology and strong communication skills, and motivation. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively, be committed to academic research, and work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds. 

 

The person selected for participation in activity Working visits of junior researchers abroad must meet, on the date of departing, all of the following conditions:

1. be a post-doc. Post-doc means a researcher who was awarded their Ph.D. or its foreign counterpart no more than 7 years before the date of starting the mobility. The period may be extended by the period of maternity and parental leave, long-term illness (more than 90 days), care for a family member (more than 90 days), pre-attestation preparation and military service. If the selected person has not obtained a Ph.D., then his/her degree must correspond to level 8 of ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education). If the degree cannot be clearly classified at ISCED level 8, the beneficiary is obliged to provide nostrification of the researcher's education during the mobility.

2. be a researcher from abroad. A researcher from abroad means a researcher who has worked outside the Czech Republic for at least 2 full years during the last 3 years (as of the date of starting the mobility) in research for at least 0.5 FTE or was a Ph.D. (or similar ISCED level 8 equivalent) student abroad. Citizens of the Czech Republic are not excluded.

3. prove publishing activity – at least 2 publications in the last 3 year

 

Additional requirements for a mobility participant are as follows:

• PhD in Life sciences
• Experience with cell culture methodsExperience with molecular biology methods (qPCR, Next Generation Sequencing)
• Experience with RNA/DNA isolation techniques
• Experience with Biobanking organization
• Minimal Computational and statistical skills
• Fluent English

 

All potential research outputs created during the implementation of mobilities must be published

in the form of Open Access.
