The Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is looking for a new colleague to join the Condensed Matter Theory Department  

The postdoc will join the group “Correlations and coherence in solid state qubits” lead by dr hab. Katarzyna Roszak

 

Job description

Study of the effect of system-environment entanglement generated during decoherence of solid-state qubits on the operation of quantum algorithms and error correction schemes. This involves both analytical and numerical calculations. The Postdoc will be required to study literature, learn new techniques, and write scientific texts.

 

Your profile

• PhD in physics
• Background in any of the following preferred:
  • • Solid-state qubits (superconducting, on impurity, quantum dot, etc.)
    • Decoherence in the solid state
    • Open quantum systems
    • Quantum information theory
• A level of English that enables scientific work
