The Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Department of Dielectrics invites applications for the position of the : Postdoctoral researcher in Department of Dielectrics

Post-doc position is suitable for researchers within 3 years from Ph.D. degree (maternity/paternity leave excluded).

Job description

• Experimenal studies of antiferroics, multiferroics and related materials by means of Raman spectroscopy or complementary techniques.
• Close collaboration on current experimental research projects of the Department of Dielectrics.
• Involvement in the project SOLID21 or other individual or collaborative scientific activities with agreement or according to an occasional encouragement of the Department Head.

Your profile

• PhD in solid state physics or materials science
• Experience with Raman scattering or related spectroscopic techniques applied to solid state materials
• Some practical experience with preparation and basic characterization of dielectric materials in the form of single crystals or thin films
• Advanced English, written and spoken
• Strong presentation skills
