MIT-Czech Republic IOCB Tech Foundation Seed Fund – call for 2024 and online info session 

The programme operates based on the cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (CAS), the IOCB Tech Foundation Seed Fund and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The preliminary period for the submission of joint project proposals within the MIT-Czech Republic IOCB Tech Foundation Seed Fund is from 10 September to 10 December 2024. The call will be pubslished on the MIT website after 1 August 2024 and will be open to all scientific disciplines. 

An online information session for those interested in collaborating with MIT and receiving support from the Fund is held on 31 July 2024 at 16:00 CEST (10:00 EDT). Please use this link for registration.

The program that was created in 2021 is a collaboration between MIT, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, and its subsidiary IOCB Tech. It is now funded by the IOCB Tech Foundation, which contributes $100,000 per year to the program. The fund supports 3 to 5 new collaborations each year between scientists from CAS research institutes and universities in the Czech Republic and MIT partners, up to $25,000, with funding available to cover travel and accommodation costs associated with working meetings and research internships. Successful applicants will be decided by April of the following year and the first trips will be available in June 2025.

Mobility projects and Mobility Plus projects from 2025 – Call for project proposals

Based on the concluded bilateral agreements on scientific cooperation with the French CNRS, a Call for Mobility Plus project (MPP) proposals is open from 28 June 2024 to 30 September 2024 (see the Call below).
The implementation period of approved projects will start as of 1 January 2025.

Based on the concluded bilateral agreements on scientific cooperation, a Call for Mobility project (MP) and Mobility Plus project (MPP) proposals with the foreign partner organisations listed below was open from 15 April 2024 to 10 June 2024.
The implementation period of approved projects will start as of 1 January 2025.

Project proposals in Czech or English must be submitted in the KIS application and simultaneously via the CAS data mailbox (ID fr6adt5) within the stated deadline. Project proposals submitted by other means will be rejected on formal grounds.
