IOCB Tech Foundation (Nadační fond IOCB Tech)

IOCB Tech Foundation (Nadační fond IOCB Tech) was established in 2022 by the tech transfer company IOCB Tech, a subsidiary of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences that matches results of basic research with the needs of commercial partners. Through its foundation and other sponsorship activities, IOCB Tech systematically returns to science a part of its profits from negotiated licensing agreements.

The foundation finances a wide range of projects. It focuses on supporting students and scientists as well as on attracting foreign researchers to Czech science. We also support student internships and exchange of experience or inspirational projects aimed at popularization of science and its contribution to society.

As part of the partnership with the CAS, the foundation supports five childcare groups established by the Centre of Administration and Operations of the CAS for the children of employees of CAS institutes and their foreign interns. In the years 2022–2025, the foundation’s support amounts to CZK 22 million.
