Visegrad Fund: call for proposals for regional cooperation projects

The International Visegrad Fund (IVF) has published a call for proposals for regional cooperation projects focusing on research, development, innovation and digitalisation with the closest deadline of 1 June 2022.

The main targets for the RDI&D priority area are: universities, research and scientific institutions, non-profit and civil society organizations, innovation and start-up-related companies. On the other hand, institutions directly under state administration and individual citizens cannot apply.

Organisations may apply for two types of grants:

  • Visegrad Grants intended for funding diverse activities with a specific focus on innovation, research and development and entrepreneurship, such as:
    • building new business and cluster networks
    • improving the ecosystem for research, innovation, and business
    • innovation, new technologies and scientific research
    • digitalization and the spread of digital literacy
    • creation of new approaches to existing regional public challenges
  • Strategic Grants aimed at funding projects for mobility, networking, knowledge sharing and capacity building in research, development and innovation in the V4 and neighbourhood countries.

Examples of activities and outputs that can be funded by the grant

Conferences, symposia, consortium, workshops, seminars, lectures, discussions, hackathons, competitions, start-up events, mobility, networking events, fairs, expos, markets, study visits, capacity building programs, training courses, summer schools, learning or teaching materials, publications, articles, reports (open access), web platforms or portals, software, mobile applications, joint research, audio-visual products, internships.

To apply, it is necessary to first identify the problem and formulate ideas for its solution, then find partners from at least 3 V4 countries (for Strategic Projects, partners from all 4 V4 countries are required) and submit an online application.
