Opportunity for exceptional early career scientists

The Young Academy of Europe (YEA), an initiative of European young scientists with open views on science and science policy, is looking for outstanding early career researchers from all EU countries. Candidates, who received their PhD less than 12 years ago, should be internationally recognised scientists and be able to lead a team.
Interested scientists can either apply themselves or be nominated by a current member of the YEA, Academia Europaea, European National Young Academy (ENYA) or a national science academy. The application must include the following documents:
- Application form (downloadable on the YEA website)
- Brief CV (max. 3 pages)
- Copy of doctoral diploma
- Motivation letter (1-2 pages) explaining the candidate's interest in joining YAE and how he/she will contribute to the organization
- 2 letters of recommendation written by a member of one of the following institutions from 2 different countries (one of which may be the candidate's country of origin):
- YEA
- Academia Europaea
- ENYA
- National academy of sciences

Nominations can be sent to nominations@yacadeuro.org. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis throughout the year.
