Ignaz L. Lieben Award 2025

The Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) has announced a new round of applications for the Ignaz L. Lieben Award 2025.
This prize is awarded to scientists for outstanding achievements in the fields of Life Sciences, Chemistry or Physics. These three fields alternate each year – in 2025 applications in Life Sciences will be accepted.
Applicants are invited from researchers who are under the age of 40, have completed their doctorate, can demonstrate outstanding work in their field, and have been continuously active in research in one of the following countries during the last three years prior to the application: Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine.
The application deadline is September 15, 2025.
