Following the cooperation between the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) within the framework of the MIT-Czech Republic Seed Fund, a call for joint project proposals under this program is open until December 12, 2023. The call is open to all scientific disciplines.
Project proposals can be submitted here.
To provide more information, an online information session on the MIT-Czech Republic Seed Fund is planned for October 2, 2023, at 16:00 CET (10:00 EDT). The session will be hosted by MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) and is intended for those interested in cooperation from MIT, CAS research institutes and all universities in the Czech Republic. If you wish to participate, find the online session here.
The program was established in collaboration between MIT, the CAS, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, and its subsidiary, IOCB Tech. Now it is funded by the IOCB Tech Foundation, which supported the program with USD 100.000 for the next year. The funds will be distributed among three to five new collaborations and can cover travel and accommodation costs associated with working meetings and research internships. Successful applicants will be chosen by April 2024, and the first trips will be possible in June 2024.
