7th annual Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic

On 13 September 2022, the National Technical Library will host the 7th annual Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic international competition, which aims to connect the next generation of great scientists and innovators and come up with a breakthrough idea - a scientific project, business plan or social initiative that breaks down all walls and barriers.

The presentations of the competitors will be in English in a "pitch-talk" format, which is no longer than three minutes. Students of all levels, including Ph.D. and postdocs, are welcome. The field of study is not restricted - the competition is open to anyone who is convinced of their idea and can convince others of it.

Interested applicants can apply via the Falling Walls international website, the deadline for applications is 14 July 2022. The winner of the national round will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000 and will represent the Czech Republic at the global final in Berlin, which is regularly held on the eve of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This year it will be on 7 November 2022.

Falling Walls Lab in the Czech Republic is supported by the National Technical Library in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague, xITEE, the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Czech Technology Agency and the CzechInvest agency.
