Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Researcher in the Department of Polymer Membranes..
The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v.v.i., Heyrovského nám. 1888/2, Prague 6, announces, in accordance with Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, as amended by Act No. 420/2005 Coll. and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences, a selection procedure for the position of researcher in the Department of Polymer Membranes.
Job description summary:
- Research and development of new polymer materials and their components
- Synthesis of organic substances and polymers
- Chemical and physical modification of polymers
- Preparation and functionalization of polymer membranes
- Characterization of polymers by physical methods (NMR, AFM)
- Presentation of results at conferences and writing scientific publications
- Inventive activity - participation in the creation of new scientific projects
Job profile:
- University degree in organic chemistry or macromolecular chemistry at PhD level or equivalent
- Ability to perform laboratory experiments independently
- Experience in the synthesis of organic substances or polymers and the determination of their structure
- Active knowledge of the English language
- Interest in the subject, willingness to learn new things, flexibility, independence, inventiveness and reliability
- Good communication skills
