Webinar: Building ERC Capacity in Widening Countries

07. 10. 2026

This webinar, organized by the ERCEA and scheduled for 23 October 2026, at 9:30 AM, focuses on capacity building in EU Widening Countries.

Capacity building is the initial step taken before a researcher begins preparing a proposal. This event will explore how researchers and the organisations and systems supporting them can strengthen ERC readiness, and what practical steps can help build a stronger pipeline of future ERC applicants.

The agenda also includes an overview of the changes introduced by the ERC Work Programme 2027. Examples of best practices from Portugal, Poland, Slovenia and Estonia will also be presented.
