Study visit on R&D for the institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences

18. 09. 2026

The Czech Liaison Office for Education and Research in Brussels (CZELO), in cooperation with the Department of International Cooperation of the CAS, is opening a selection process for a study internship from April 12 to 16, 2027, in Brussels.

The aim of the study internship is to help strengthen the capacities and professional knowledge of project managers from the institutes of the CAS. The internship will be focused on gaining a better understanding of the EU R&D policies, the functioning of selected programmes (such as Horizon Europe, and other EU programmes), and EU institutions, while also supporting the establishment of new contacts at the European level. The professional internship will focus more on pre-award activities of project managers.

The internship is intended for both beginner and experienced project managers from the workplaces of the Czech Academy of Sciences who are actively involved in European research programmes and policies and who are interested in more active involvement of their research institutions in international cooperation.

The internship will include meetings with various EU institution staff, as well as representatives from universities and relevant experts. The meetings will be interactive. Participants are expected to actively engage in discussions, share experiences from their own institutions, and offer their own perspectives on the issues. Depending on the counterpart, the meetings will be held either in Czech or English. Applicants are expected to have at least a B2 level of English.

The program will be sent to selected participants no later than a week before the event.

A maximum of 10 project managers from the institutes of the CAS  will participate in the internships.

Applications for internships are open until 30 October 2026.
