Conference: Czech Days for European Research

Registration for the CZEDER conference with the subtitle The EU Framework Programme Pathways to Excellence and Competitiveness has opened. It will take place on 23 November 2026 at the Diplomat Hotel in Prague.

The conference is traditionally organised by the Technology Centre Prague in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

Participants will be introduced to the updates on the participation of Czech research teams in project proposals and funded consortia. Broader issues related to the European Research Area (ERA) will be mentioned.

The conference will focus on the changing European research funding landscape. Mgr. Dana Bilíková, Director General for Higher Education, Science, and Research, will give a keynote speech.  

Changes in the European research environment will also be discussed in connection with the preparation of the new - 10th Framework Program. A panel discussion with representatives of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Masaryk University, Jagiellonian University in Krakow and Honeywell Aerospace will discuss the issue of the reactions of these institutions to the upcoming changes in research funding.

Prof. Radomír Pánek started his first term of office in March 2025. He is a prominent Czech scientist specializing in plasma physics and nuclear fusion.
