
Call for Nominations of Experts to Review the 2027 Global Sustainable Development Report

The International Science Council (ISC) has announced a call for nominations of experts to participate in the peer review of the second draft of the Global Sustainable Development Report 2027, which will serve as a key input to the UN SDG Summit in 2027.
The call is open to researchers with expertise in sustainable development. Applications are welcome from a broad range of disciplines, including the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, medical sciences, engineering, and other fields, as well as from researchers with interdisciplinary expertise.
The peer review will take place between September and October 2026. Reviewers will be asked to assess a draft report of approximately 150 pages. Comments must be submitted in English, and the names of reviewers will be acknowledged in the published report.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 31 July 2026.

The Czech Academy of Sciences (the CAS)
The mission of the CAS
The primary mission of the CAS is to conduct research in a broad spectrum of natural, technical and social sciences as well as humanities. This research aims to advance progress of scientific knowledge at the international level, considering, however, the specific needs of the Czech society and the national culture.
President of the CAS
Prof. Radomír Pánek started his first term of office in March 2025. He is a prominent Czech scientist specializing in plasma physics and nuclear fusion.
