ERC incubator

The aim of the ERC Incubator (ERC‑in) is to enhance the quality of scientific research conducted at the institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS). Its primary objective is to increase both the number of high‑quality proposals submitted by CAS institutes to European Research Council (ERC) calls and their overall success rate. Achieving this goal requires attracting, supporting, and retaining excellent researchers across CAS institutes. The ERC-in’s support activities also contribute to the development of project infrastructures at individual institutes, raise awareness of ERC priorities throughout CAS, and facilitate systematic collection and evaluation of relevant data from the institutes.

Financial support is provided to cover the costs associated with project preparation for candidates nominated by the ERC-in Council and subsequently approved by the Academic Council. Selected candidates receive comprehensive support, including specialised project consultations and individual mentoring during both the preparation of the project proposal and the preparation for the second‑round evaluation interview.
