Working activities:
The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences (IMC) is the largest macromolecular / polymer research facility in Czech Republic. The Department of Polymer Processing pursues basic and applied research in the fields of preparation and processing of polymer materials based mainly on commodity and engineering thermoplastics or biodegradable and bio-based polymers. Recycling and environmental issues of polymer materials are nowadays the main research focus of the Department.
IMC is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our R&D team in the Laboratory of environmental-friendly polymer materials & technologies. As Researcher Scientist you will perform research and development of new types of nanocomposite hydrogels based on renewable raw materials and their characterization. The applicant will prepare physically and chemically cross-linked hydrogels and perform their characterization by structural, rheological, thermal and mechanical methods. You will conduct experiments, analyse and interpret data, present results on international events and publish results in scientific journals. MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Material Science or similar
