Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Research fellow - postdoctoral in the Department of Polymer Morphology.
Research fellow - postdoctoral in the Department of Polymer Morphology
Working activities:
The Department of Polymer Morphology focuses on research of the relationships between the structure and properties of polymer materials. The main methods of the department are electron microscopy and microindentation. The applicant is expected to be involved in two ongoing projects: the processing of four-dimensional microscopy data using the Python programming language within the newly developed 4D-STEM/PNBD method and the characterization of polymer nanoparticles using transmission electron microscopy. In addition, we anticipate an active approach, gradual involvement in other running project, and development of your own research topics within the department.

Requirements:
- PhD in the field of chemistry, physics or related fields,
- experience with research and publishing (>5 papers in impacted journals),
- experience Python programing is an important advantage,
- excellent oral and written knowledge of English is necessary,
- an active and creative approach to solving scientific problems,
- the ability to think independently and make decisions,
- ability to work in a team.
