New SAPEA Report: Towards Sustainable Food Consumption
31. 08. 2023
The newly released SAPEA report "Towards Sustainable Food Consumption", co-authored by social geographer Petr Jehlička from the Institute of Ethnology and the Institute of Sociology of the CAS, points out that for Europe to achieve its health and sustainability goals, the way we produce and consume food has to change. The current food system has a major impact on the environment and poor quality diets are also linked to the risk of disease, obesity and overweight in the European population. The report identifies 5 key elements that can help change this negative trend.
