Selection Procedures
Institute of Physics of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position PhD student in experimental research on magnetotransport.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated PhD student to advance the experimental techniques to fabricate spintronic devices and perform the measurement of magnetotransport.
Join the Dioscuri Centre for spincaloritronics and magnonics at FZU and be at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate (m/f) will engage in experimental planning and device design for the study of spin transport in altermagnetic and p-wave materials and analysis of experimental data.
What you will do
- Design of components and experiments in p-wave magnets magnetotransport lithography
- Analyse data
- Collaborate with IFW Dresden
- Foster collaboration and communication with other international partners, group members and FZU staff
- Write research papers and present results at conferences
What we expect
- Msc. degree in physics or chemistry
- Advanced knowledge of solid-state physics and magnetism
- Knowledge of lithographic techniques and magnetotransport
- Fluency in English
- Eager to learn and share knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team
