Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Postdoctoral Research Fellows in Photonics and Plasmonics.

Postdoctoral Research Fellows in Photonics and Plasmonics

The Institute of Photonics and Electronics v. v. i.* invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Photonics and Plasmonics. Join the Optical Biosensors research team (team leader Prof. Jiří Homola) and contribute to cutting-edge research in plasmonics and biosensing.

Responsibilities and tasks

The selected candidate will carry out research in optical systems and plasmonic (nano)structures for optical affinity biosensors for applications in biomedicine. Both theoreticians and experimentalists are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• D. degree in electrical engineering, physics, optics, optoelectronics, or similar,
• publication record in the field of plasmonics and photonics,
• experience in research into plasmonic (nano)structures and development of optical platforms for plasmonic sensing.

Terms of employment

The initial period of employment is one year (with the possibility of an extension). Start date is flexible – immediately or upon agreement.
