Czech-Bavarian cooperation: how can we build a strong and sustainable Europe together?
19. 01. 2023
This call is open to young citizens aged 15 to 27 from the border regions of the Czech Republic (Karlovy Vary Region, Pilsen Region, South Bohemia Region) and Germany (Bavaria) to present their priorities for a stronger and more sustainable Europe and express their ideas on the role cross-border projects can play in strengthening Europe between
14 December 2022 and 15 February 2023.
The consensus and priorities emerging from the online consultation are to be the subject of youth dialogues between Czech and German participants in 2023, with the aim of developing concrete recommendations for activities and initiatives in the border regions based on these priorities.
The consultation has two phases. Firstly, the priorities of young people in the Czech Republic and Germany are collected separately by analysing the proposals and voting in each country. In the second phase, participants are given the opportunity to respond to the ideas of participants from the other country. They can then find out what is a priority on both sides of the border and say whether they agree or disagree with the proposal!
You can take part in the call here.
The project is initiated by Initiative Offene Gesellschaft (Open Society Initiative), eKairos and Make.org and is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs through the Bayrischer Jugendring (Bavarian Youth Circle). It is part of the Bavarian Youth Action Plan.
It is also supported by and in cooperation with the Czech Presidency of the EU Council, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Berlin and Tandem (Coordination Centre for Czech-German Youth Exchanges).
