At our institute, we explore the fascinating world of 2D materials, focusing on their tunability and van der Waals heterostructures through various external stimuli, including electric fields, strain, and illumination. You will have the opportunity to delve into the investigations of low-temperature spectroscopy of 2D material/metal heterostructures. These studies will elucidate the fundamental phenomena governing the physics of these systems.

Essential skills and qualifications:
You will have master's degree in physics, chemistry, or materials science, and experience with at least one of the following: Raman and/or other vis/IR spectroscopy, electrical transport measurements, or 2D materials research. The applicant will have to apply and be admitted to a full-time postgraduate study programme at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
Desirable criteria include experience with electrochemistry, atomic force microscopy, optical lithography. A publication in a peer-reviewed journal will be an advantage.
