India: Global Student Exchange Program by IITM

The Global Student Exchange Program hosted by IITM (Indian Institute of Technology Madras) attracts students from across the globe. Students are provided with an opportunity to study under eminent faculty alongside IITM students, participate in cutting-edge research and partake in culturally immersive activities offered to the student community.

IITM has been ranked No.1 in the ‘Overall’ Category for the fourth consecutive year in India Ranking 2022 released by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The Institute also holds the No.1 position in the ‘Engineering Institutions’ category for the seventh consecutive year. It was also adjudged as the ‘Top innovative Institution’ in the country in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The process for exchange is as follows:
a) Letter of nomination from partner university is sent to inbound2@ge.iitm.ac.in.
b) The inbound coordinator will provide confirmation for the exchange.
c) After confirmation, the student will be asked to submit the application on the portal.
d) The application will be processed, and further procedures will be informed to the concerned student.

Application:

The applications for the January 2023 intake of exchange students are now open. Nominations will be accepted till October 15, 2022.

The Czech Academy of Sciences (the CAS)

The mission of the CAS

The primary mission of the CAS is to conduct research in a broad spectrum of natural, technical and social sciences as well as humanities. This research aims to advance progress of scientific knowledge at the international level, considering, however, the specific needs of the Czech society and the national culture.

President of the CAS

Prof. Eva Zažímalová has started her second term of office in May 2021. She is a respected scientist, and a Professor of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.

She is also a part of GCSA of the EU.
