RNDr. Pavel Kubáň, DSc.

Pavel Kubáň graduated in Chemistry and Mathematics from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic (1998), obtained his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Mendel University, Brno, Czech Republic (2001), his RNDr. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Palacký University, Olomouc, Czech Republic (2010) and his Research Professor degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Czech Academy of Sciences (2015). Currently, he is the leading scientist and head of the Department of Electromigration Methods at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

His work is devoted mainly to capillary electrophoresis, liquid phase microextraction techniques and to their coupling for direct analyses of complex samples. He is author or co-author of more than 100 scientific papers, reviews and book chapters and 60 contributions on scientific conferences. He is a member of the editorial board of scientific journals Separation Science Plus (Wiley) and Talanta Open (Elsevier) and a vice-chairman of the research council of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He has also actively taken part in both research and education and the research results have been published in prestigious international scientific journals and as invited keynote lectures on international scientific conferences.
