Workshops and trainings by École de Physique des Houches

L’École de Physique des Houches announces a large number of interesting workshops and trainings on various topics, especially in the field of theoretical physics and mathematics.

You can find an detailed overview in the program on the school's website. Workshops and trainings will take place in France, so please observe current possibilities of travelling and the development of the epidemiological situation.

Moreover, l’École de Physique des Houches also invites to the summer school. The first, entitled Core mantle interactions through time, will take place between June 28 and July 23, 2021. Lectures will be given by Sanne Cottaar of Cambridge University, Allen McNamara of Michigan State University, and more other lecturers. The course is intended for advanced PhD students and postdoctoral students. More information is available here. You can apply until March 1, 2021 using the online form.

The second summer school called Dark Matter will take place from July 26 to August 20, 2021. Speakers will include Anne Green, Joshua Ruderman, Igor Irastorza, Philip Harris, Bernard Carr, and many other experts. All more information about the second summer school can be found here. The primary mission of the CAS is to conduct research in a broad spectrum of natural, technical and social sciences as well as humanities. This research aims to advance progress of scientific knowledge at the international level, considering, however, the specific needs of the Czech society and the national culture.

President of the CAS

Prof. Eva Zažímalová has started her second term of office in May 2021. She is a respected scientist, and a Professor of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.

She is also a part of GCSA of the EU.
