V4 + Japan: call for project proposals

Referring to the Memorandum on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MEYS), the International Visegrad Fund (IVF), the National Office for Research, Development and Innovation of Hungary (NKFIH), the National Center for Research and Development of the Republic of Poland ( NCBR), the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) and the Japan Agency for Science and Technology (JST) of 23 September 2014, the participating countries announce a call for project proposals in the V4 + Japan format.

The full text of the call is published on the website of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

The conditions of the call for project proposals, including the definition of its scientific focus, the eligible format of project consortia, the method of submitting project proposals, the process of their evaluation and the time schedule for the implementation of the call are set out in the document "Joint Call Text for Funding V4-Japan Joint Research Projects ".

The project proposal conceived in the V4 + Japan format is always submitted exclusively by a Japanese member of the project team on behalf of the entire consortium. The project proposal will be submitted via the electronic e-Rad system managed by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. The application form, which is filled in by the Japanese member of the project research team on behalf of this research team via the electronic application, includes all the requirements of the project design defined within the Application Form.

Each Czech project participant of the project solution team submitted in the V4 + Japan format is obliged to prove their eligibility by submitting the completed and signed form of the statutory declaration (appendix to the declaration may be found here), no later than April 9, 2021 by 10:00 in electronic form to electronic correspondence aneta.kucerova@msmt.cz and in printed form to the address:

The mission of the CAS

The primary mission of the CAS is to conduct research in a broad spectrum of natural, technical and social sciences as well as humanities. This research aims to advance progress of scientific knowledge at the international level, considering, however, the specific needs of the Czech society and the national culture.

Prof. Eva Zažímalová has started her second term of office in May 2021. She is a respected scientist, and a Professor of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.

She is also a part of GCSA of the EU.
