Call for Barrande Fellowship Programme 2023

23. 11. 2022

The French Institute in Prague and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MSMT) has launched the Barrande Fellowship Programme for 2023, the exchange mobility programme for Ph.D. students between the Czech Republic and France.

The programme offers scholarships to support “cotutelles” (a doctoral degree programme which is undertaken jointly at two partner higher education institutions, one in France and the other in the Czech Republic, including a 5-month stay in France every year for a max. 3 years with a monthly stipend of about 1,500 EUR) and short-term research stays (between 1 and 3 months with a monthly stipend of about 1,500 EUR).

The application deadline is February 12th, 2023. Ph.D. students have to be registered either at a Czech University (for mobilities to France) or at a French University (for mobilities to the Czech Republic). Please note, that the programme is open to all English speakers as long as the French or Czech supervisor hosting the mobility agrees for the research stay to be performed in the English language.

The application should be prepared following the rules appearing in the Applicant’s guidelines for a cotutelle grant or the Applicant’s guidelines for a short stay. The link and details for online application are indicated in both Applicant’s guidelines.

To know more about the programme, you can register for an online event that will take place on December 7th 2022 (11-12am), via the link no later than December 6th 12pm.

Please find more details on the French Institute’s website.
