8th annual Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic
30. 05. 2023
On 12 September 2023, the National Technical Library will host the 8th annual Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic international competition, which aims to connect the next generation of great scientists and innovators and come up with a breakthrough idea - a scientific project, business plan or social initiative that breaks down all walls and barriers.
The presentations of the competitors will be in English in a "pitch-talk" format, which is no longer than three minutes. Students of all levels, including Ph.D. and postdocs, are welcome. The field of study is not restricted - the competition is open to anyone who is convinced of their idea and can convince others of it.
Interested applicants can apply via the Falling Walls international website, the deadline for applications is 30 June 2023. The winner of the national round will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000 and will represent the Czech Republic at the global final in Berlin, which is regularly held on the eve of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This year it will be on 12 November 2023.
More information can be found on the Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the competition coordinator for the Czech Republic Martin Krška from the NTK Communications Department: e-mail: martin.krska@techlib.cz
