Spring Excursion to the World of Science

An event called Spring Doors Open Days at the workplaces of the Academy of Sciences of the CR follows a pilot event from 2011, which aroused interest of both students and the public and proved successful. The event takes place at selected scientific workplaces of the ASCR as a loose part of the festival Week of Science and Technology.

The event is organised at those institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the CR which are more suitable for a visit in the spring, given the character of their activity, and which cannot participate in the autumn Doors Open Days. The event is focused on secondary school students, who have an opportunity to visit research workplaces of the ASCR and acquaint themselves with the Czech science. The project thus makes visible and popularises the work of the ASCR's workplaces. The aim of the event is to arouse student interest in science and remind the festival Week of Science and Technology.
