Prof. RNDr. Blanka Říhová, DrSc.
Blanka Říhová is a professor of immunology, Charles University, Prague, the Czech Republic, and adjunct professor of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA. In 2000–2007 she was the director of the Institute of Microbiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. She is the president of Czech Immunology Society, vice-president of Czech Learned Society, and vice-president of Scientific Council of the CAS.
In 2009 she served as European Ambassador for Creativity and Innovation. She was awarded with “Czech Head” Medal, Medal of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, of the Czech Learned Society (Societas Scientiarum Bohemica “Ad Laudem et Honorem”), of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic “De scientia et humanitate optime meritis,” Laurel Medal from Czech Chamber of Commerce and “Garnet Immunoglobulin” from Czech Immunological Society. She is regular reviewer of a number of scientific journals.
She is the author or co-author of more than 250 scientific publications cited more than 4000 times. Her H index = 40. Recently, she is mainly involved in development of targeted cytostatic drugs and experimental immunooncotherapy.
